.0.10727.Cosmophytes, the new group that has just reached the 100 mark, have offered their congratulations and gratitude to the organizers and all participants of the 2nd International Conference on Monasticism, held from 19 to 22 June 2016 in Bencoolen (a small town just across from Mui Ne), in the southern province of Kihei in Vietnam. This conference, which is part of the activities of the International Association for Buddhist Studies, took place just two weeks after another meeting that the same organizers had held in San Jose, Costa Rica, on May 4th. This new community, which is concentrated in the Buddhist countries of Southeast Asia, but also has a few members in India and even one in the United States, was founded and developed by two monks from Myanmar – the late Shin Khin, also known as Steven Burmese, and his successor, Nyiktha Hlaya. One of the first stages in the development of Cosmophytes was the constitution of an editorial board, which has been worked on and completed. It has been possible to create a new kind of Buddhism. Cosmophytes does not want to separate itself from the rest of the Buddhist movements and consider it to be a particular case. The editorial board has now completed its task, having completed the preliminary elaboration of a program of the 2nd International Conference on Monasticism, which will be held in Bencoolen (Mui Ne) in June 2016. The organizational committee for the conference, which is in charge of its management, has been actively developed, and already it has issued invitations to many speakers from all over the world. The task now is to announce
